As a Marvel lover myself, I appreciated when at SoundHound AI’s recent event there was a declaration that Jarvis is here – i.e. agentic artificial intelligence is what Jarvis manifested in the Iron Man series and other Avengers movies. The purpose behind this metaphor was to explanation the evolution of AI from first something that is a brain to now a brain with hands. Agentic AI enables actions to be completed as opposed to simply relaying knowledge.

In the future, businesses will have agentic AI systems. These could replace some part of the customer service workflow, enabling only those who truly need human assistance to receive it. Or the myriad of other applications that could take hold.

Andrew Weisselberg, vice president of marketing at SoundHound AI, explained when he joined the firm four years ago it was already working on predictive analytics but SoundHound’s capabilities have vastly grown thanks to a few acquisitions since that time. He explained at a June 4 event that while previous iterations of AI were harder to quantify, with agentic AI the return on investment comes from AI taking action and thereby saving time and energy.

SoundHound AI’s OASYS, or its orchestrated agent system, allows tests to be conducted while the AI is still being built; these tests take place in simulated environments. Additionally, this system leans from its past actions and results thereby continually becoming greater.
